Beyond Nuke

Right-click a file, folder or drive and Beyond Nuke closes everything holding it open, then deletes it. It shows you what is holding the target first, refuses the paths that would break Windows, and checks the delete afterwards.

Where this stands

Everything in the catalogue is still in development. You can read what each application does, what it needs, and what it cannot do yet. Nothing here is open to download or buy. Leave your email and you will hear from us the day that changes, once and about that only.

Why we built it

A folder that will not delete, with nothing visibly running in it, is usually held by something the usual tools cannot see.

  • A console sitting inside a folder locks it, and Windows does not say so.
  • A loaded library or a running program inside the folder keeps it open.
  • Hunting the holder down by hand is guesswork.

So it looks in four independent places for the holder, shows you what it found, and only then closes and deletes.

What it does

Delete the file that will not delete.

It finds what is holding the file Four independent checks, because each one alone misses real locks: open handles, a running program inside the target, a loaded library, and a shell sitting in the folder.
It shows you before it acts The processes, services and tasks holding the target are listed first. Nothing changes until you confirm, and a dry run changes nothing at all.
It refuses what it must not touch Drive roots, the Windows folders, user profile folders and a protected list are refused, whether the target is one of them, inside one, or contains one.
It escalates only as far as it must A plain delete first, then taking ownership, then renaming aside, then queueing for the next restart, stopping as soon as the item is gone.
It checks its own work Afterwards it reads the disk again and reports the real state. It never claims a delete it did not verify.
Verified
  • 160 adversarial checks pass in one run
Known limit

It does not use the Recycle Bin. What it deletes cannot be recovered.

We list these because you will find them anyway. A limitation you learn about after paying is a defect in how we sold it to you.

Requirements
System Windows 10 1903 or later, 64 bit
