Beyond Digital Labs

Beyond Phone Sync

Puts your Android screen on your Windows desktop and lets you work it from there. Pair once over USB or Wi-Fi and the app remembers the handset, so afterwards it reconnects on its own.

Requirements

  • Windows 11
  • Android 11 or later
  • Both devices on the same private network

Installing

See Installing a Beyond application for what the installer writes and where. Verify your download first, because it takes one command.

Features

Use the phone from your desktop

The mirror is live rather than a picture. Your mouse and keyboard drive the handset, so you can select and copy text off the phone, type into it with a full size keyboard, and capture its screen with whatever screenshot tool you already use.

Pair once, then forget the cable

Connect over USB or Wi-Fi to pair. The app remembers the handset and its wireless address, so from then on it reconnects by itself. The cable was a one time step.

Start it from the phone

A button on the handset casts straight to your monitor. You do not have to walk over to the desktop and open anything first.

Your network only

It binds to private interfaces. No internet relay of any kind. Your screen never travels through somebody else’s server.

Paired, not accounted

Password authenticated key exchange over TLS 1.3, with the trust store encrypted on disk. There is no account to create and nothing to sign into.

Known limits

  • Mirroring currently runs through a developer stopgap path. The first party media pipeline is the next milestone.
  • Live QR pairing and phone tap acceptance are still waiting on owner sign off.

Licensing

Beyond Phone Sync uses the standard Beyond licence, with offline verification and self managed seats. See Licences and activation.
