Beyond Video Calls
Private one to one video calling with live translation in both directions. The listening, the translating and the speaking all happen on your own machine, walled off from the rest of it. The person you called needs nothing but a browser.

Installing

Live translation, both directions
Each side speaks normally and hears the other in their own language, during the call rather than after it.
Languages are added, not rebuilt
Each language is a separate piece that plugs in, rather than something wired into the application. A new one arrives once it has been tested properly, with nothing to rebuild and no single pair locked in.
The AI runs on your machine
The listening, the translating and the speaking all happen on your own graphics card, walled off from the rest of the machine, and never through somebody else’s service.
Guests need nothing
The far side joins from a browser. No install, no account, no GPU of their own.
The very large download
The full package is roughly 19 GB. It is the reason this site was built so a download resumes where it stopped and an update only fetches the part that changed.
Known limits
- Private beta. Language testing and a live two person call are both still unproven.
- A language pair is only offered once it has been tested properly. English and Turkish are first, and others follow.
- The part that does the translating is never reachable from the internet, on purpose.

Beyond Video Calls uses the standard Beyond licence: checked on your own machine, with your devices managed by you. See Licences and activation.
